Grazing Resource Inventory & Vegetation Assessment for the Fort Hall Bottoms
In the summer of 2018 we developed a grazing resource inventory for the Fort Hall Bottoms. As part of this work we calculated the grazing carrying capacity, assessed plant species composition, and mapped large noxious weed infestations.
Blood Degree Trends of the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes
To better understand the current status and trends of the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes blood quantum, Big Tree Environmental LLC, conducted a statistical analysis of tribal enrollment data and presented the finding to the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes, Fort Hall Business Council, and Tribal Enrollment Department.
Continuous Forest Inventory for the Fort Hall Indian Reservation
In 2016, our staff established and completed the Continuous Forest Inventory (CFI) on the Fort Hall Indian Reservation. This project involved establishing and measuring 113 permanent plots in forests and woodlands spread across the Reservation. The CFI is used evaluate land productivity, determine timber volume, describe stand and fuel conditions, and gauge forest growth.
